Layer 2 refers to a set of off-chain solutions or protocols built on top of a blockchain’s main network (Layer 1) to improve its scalability and transaction throughput. These solutions aim to reduce congestion and lower transaction costs by processing transactions off the main chain while still benefiting from its security and decentralization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
