Who developed blockchain and where is he now?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who developed blockchain technology?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blockchain technology was first implemented by a man (or organization) known by the name of \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Satoshi Nakamoto<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The real identity of this mysterious person was never found. The pseudonym appeared online shortly before the release of the Bitcoin <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/paybis.com\/blog\/glossary\/what-is-a-whitepaper\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">whitepaper<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2008.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In December 2010, after two years of communication with the Bitcoin community through the Bitcointalk forum (which he created), Satoshi mysteriously disappeared.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Where is Satoshi Nakamoto now?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a lot of speculation to the whereabouts of Satoshi. Some say he\u2019s dead, others that he\u2019s just hiding in fear the legal repercussions of his invention.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people, like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Craig_Steven_Wright\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Craig Wright<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, have willingly come forward, claiming to be the real Satoshi. However, they were never able to provide substantial proof of their claims.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/paybis.com\/blog\/who-is-satoshi-nakamoto\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">article on Satoshi\u2019s identity<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> goes through a list of possible contenders. And even though all of the options could make a potential match, none has been proven to be the real one.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, did Satoshi Nakamoto create both Bitcoin and the blockchain?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, yes and no.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While Nakamoto was the first person to implement the Blockchain concept for cryptocurrencies, it was first penned by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en_us\/article\/j5nzx4\/what-was-the-first-blockchain\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stuart Haber and W.
