This year\u2019s event brought together famous industry leaders and bright minds to facilitate exciting discussions on financial technology, crypto regulation, Web3, and AI. Among the participants were financial innovators, startups, investors, and policymakers, and of, course, <a href=\"https:\/\/paybis.com\/\">Paybis <\/a>was part of these discussions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-7831-_3f2mvxwsmrkk\"><\/a>About Stockholm Fintech Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Stockholm Fintech first began in 2018 as <a href=\"https:\/\/stockholmfintechweek.com\/\">Stockholm Fintech Week<\/a> that\u2019s since turned into an annual week-long event, bringing the fintech community in Sweden (and from elsewhere) together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the beginning, the Stockholm Fintech Week gained a reputation of being the largest and most welcoming fintech event in all of the Nordic states of Europe. Plus, Stockholm has always been regarded as a powerful hub for fintech, so the whole fintech community grew alongside Stockholm Fintech Week.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"text-bg-color\" id=\"block_a530541d6711dce6854784fe02f048e7\">\r    <div class=\"text-bg-color__content\">\r                <p><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} --><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} --><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-7831-_apo2x0q8o9n7\"><\/a>Key Themes and Industry Trends<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><!-- \/wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/h3>\n<p>At this year\u2019s Stockholm Fintech Week, which took place on February 11-12th, there were several key topics in response to what\u2019s trending in the fintech field in 2025. From over 132 featured speakers, the main topic categories of discussion were:<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --><\/h3>\n<ul><!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li><strong>Exponential Finance<\/strong>: How data and AI are transforming the financial industry.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li><strong>Finance That Is Secure and Compliant<\/strong>: New technology improving security and compliance.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li><strong>Platform Driven Finance<\/strong>: Platforms revolutionizing business-consumer relationships.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li><strong>Finance Anywhere, Anytime<\/strong>: Integrating finance into daily life.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li><strong>Blockchain Economy<\/strong>: The influence of blockchain technology extends beyond cryptocurrency.<\/li>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<li><strong>Next-Gen Payments and Money<\/strong>: Advances in quick and international payments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n    <\/div>\r<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Overall, there were roughly 80 speaker slots over the course of 2 days, so you can imagine just how much information was covered. But if we had to summarize, the list below solidifies the overarching industry trends:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Crypto regulations &amp; compliance: <\/strong>digital assets are increasingly scrutinized, and regulators and industry leaders debate the future of crypto laws and their impact on financial services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Web3 &amp; decentralized finance (DeFi)<\/strong>: The rise of decentralized applications and blockchain-driven innovations continued to be a hot topic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AI in fintech: <\/strong>The growing role of AI in fraud detection, risk assessment, and automated trading has attracted significant attention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Embedded finance &amp; payments:<\/strong> The evolution of seamless payment solutions and banking-as-a-service (BaaS) models demonstrate how traditional and digital finance are starting to converge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-7831-_z58ma5sz3dm1\"><\/a>Event Highlights Straight from the Stage Panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With discussions heavily focused on Web3, DeFi, and crypto regulation, Paybis was actively engaged in key conversations shaping the industry\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Chief Revenue Officer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/uldis-t\/\">Uldis Teraudkalns<\/a>, attended this event in Stockholm.
