Past experiences show how a seemingly small update can grow snowball-style and create a considerable shift in the crypto market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A good example of that could be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.premiercontinuum.com\/resources\/microsoft-outbreak-july-2024\">Microsoft software update in 2024<\/a>, a routine check that resulted in increased market volatility and trading delays. Nonetheless, we found these updates particularly interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-7932-_510dinvmwtiv\"><\/a>Ripple Wins Big<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officially <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/international\/us\/xrp-price-today-march-19-sec-drops-appeal-ripple-wins-will-xrp-skyrocket\/articleshow\/119217121.cms?from=mdr\">dropped its appeal<\/a> in the long-running case against Ripple, leading to the company\u2019s legal victory. This removed lingering regulatory uncertainty, changing XRP\u2019s position as a questionable crypto firm, boosting investor confidence, and setting a precedent for other crypto firms facing SEC scrutiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-7932-_v01qgoqilhdu\"><\/a>GameStop Goes Crypto<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In what some might call a bold move, GameStop announced that the company will be investing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investors.com\/news\/gamestop-stock-bitcoin-investment-q4-2024-earnings-ryan-cohen-march-2025\/\">$1.3 billion into Bitcoin acquisition<\/a>. This isn\u2019t exactly a novelty move as major companies like MicroStrategy, Rumble, and Tesla have already made the same move towards Bitcoin. This only goes to show how despite the volatility and speculative nature of cryptos, blockchain-based initiatives are showing growing potential and momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-7932-_8e5v31bd6e0e\"><\/a>Bitcoin on the Global Stage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>US President Donald J. Trump created some waves by talking about the potential plans for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/finance\/currencies\/the-trump-family-advances-its-all-out-crypto-blitz-this-time-with-bitcoin-mining-86a1e8d9\">strategic Bitcoin reserve<\/a>, which may suggest a move to start accumulating Bitcoin as part of the national reserve. While many view this as a major development in widespread crypto adoption in traditional finance, regulatory policies, and global economics, some experts remain cautious and neutral, advising further observation as these plans proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"post-7932-_bxheyn9ajhcl\"><\/a>Conference Updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In March, we participated in a major fintech event in London: the <a href=\"https:\/\/pay360event.com\/\">Pay360 conference<\/a>. This event facilitates discussions for policymakers, regulators, banks, merchants, big tech, card networks, acquirers, and processors.
