What is TrumpCoin (TRUMP)?
TRUMP is a new crypto meme coin launched on 17 January 2025 following the inauguration of US President-elect Donald J. Trump. It’s a high-profile celebrity-backed crypto that claims to both support and promote patriotic US ideals. The TrumpCoin was created by CIC Digital LLC and Fight Fight Fight LLC and operated on the Solana blockchain.
Within just a few days of TrumpCoin’s release, its market cap reached $10 billion, adding TRUMP to the list of the top 20 largest cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap. However, as far as utility, ideology, and community are concerned, TrumpCoin is mostly viewed as a political campaign strategy. Additionally, most of TrumpCoin is owned by the US President and his companies.

The total supply of the TrumpCoin is capped at 1 billion TRUMP tokens. When this crypto was launched, 200 million tokens were released to the public. Currently, over 80% of the tokens belong to President Trump’s companies. The remaining amount, which is roughly around 1.8 billion, is scheduled to be released over the next three years.
To look over TRUMP’s price, it’s subject to extreme volatility, heavily influenced by politics, which the crypto community isn’t too happy about. However, it’s recorded that right after launch, TrumpCoin hit a market capitalization of $10 billion, with TRUMP worth around $10, but the price quickly grew, reaching an all-time high of $75. This didn’t last and as of January 27, 2025, the price somewhat stabilized around $25.89, as reported by CoinGecko.
